After several years at graceisthepoint.blogspot.com, I finally made the switch and became my own site. Here is my inaugural post of my new blog. I am officially a site now … devinhudson.com. Let me explain a little about my tagline:
ramblings = if you follow my blog long enough you know that I usually just talk about what is going on in my life. I ramble about my life, Grace Point, theology, books, sports, and about anything else that comes to my ADD mind.
of a passionate = if there is one thing in life I am not lacking, it is passion. I am a driven person. I am all in.
barbaric = thank God Erwin McManus gave us a title that at least sounds spiritual. I am a rebel. I don’t fit well in boxes or under people’s thumbs. I am a trail blazer. I don’t follow the beaten path. How else would an East Coast Carolinian end up in Las Vegas?
control-freak = I admit it. Every A-level leader I know is somewhat of a control freak. At least I am willing to confess my sin.
turned = my wife would argue that I have not really turned and she is probably right.
grace junkie = I am all about grace. The gospel has changed my perspective on life, ministry, myself, and others. I have simply decided that God’s grace is bigger than my own boxes, preferences, and methods. I am just going to trust He knows what He is doing and try and focus on things that matter. Grace is the Point.
church planter = even though GP is now about 800, I still feel like a planter at heart. I still spend most of my time catching up and depending on God. I still feel like I don’t know what I am doing about half the time. I think I will always be a planter at heart.
There you have it … that’s a little bit about why my tagline reads what it does.
It was good meeting you today at the CP conference. I enjoyed your passion for the gospel and the people of Vegas.
Dude – you freakin rocked my world today and I am undone. Loved the breakout. Made me want to jump on plane with my wife and come see what you do and learn something. Maybe we’ll see you in the guitar hero final

Devon, love the new blog bro. Look forward to reading more about what God is doing in you and through you. You’ve got a new reader!
Thanks guys for the positive feedback. It is always exciting to meet new peeps on the journey and to share in this glorious story we call the gospel.
